KWA Originals Midnight Mint: EVE-4 and EVE-9 Bundles Now In Stock

KWA’s Originals range has a new colourway on UK shelves, and for once the interesting part isn’t the paint. The Midnight Mint EVE-4 and EVE-9 have arrived at Airsoft Direct as complete bundles — battery, smart charger, LiPo safety sack and a bottle of BBs already in the box. The bare rifles are listed separately on pre-order for September.

If you’ve bought a first AEG before, you know the pattern: the gun turns up, and then you find out you still need a battery, a charger that won’t cook it, somewhere safe to charge it, and ammo. These two skip that step.

Set against the bare rifles — EVE-4 at £244.95 and EVE-9 at £264.95, both September pre-order — the bundles add £45 and £55 respectively for four items you’d otherwise buy anyway. The stick battery in the EVE-4 kit drops straight into the PDW stock tube; the nunchuck pack in the EVE-9 kit is shaped to sit either side of the buffer tube.

What the two share

Both run the same 2.5+ VPS gearbox found in the TK.45c, Ronin T6, QRF Mod series and Ronin 47, so spares and upgrade parts cross over. Both are electronic-trigger-ready if you want to drop an aftermarket trigger board in later. Both use a reversible side charging handle that doubles as the hop-up access — you adjust hop without pulling the upper apart, which is the single biggest quality-of-life difference between these and a conventional M4 clone.

Ambidextrous fire controls, quick-detach sling sockets front and rear, and PTS enhanced polymer sights are standard on both. The receivers and handguards are high-density polymer rather than alloy, which is where the weight saving comes from — the EVE-4 is roughly a pound lighter than the metal-receiver Ronin T6.

Chrono note before you order

KWA’s own spec sheet quotes 330–380 fps adjustable on 0.20g for both rifles. The Airsoft Direct listing for the EVE-9 bundle quotes a lower out-of-the-box figure of around 310 fps. The VPS system is adjustable either way, and most UK sites cap AEGs at 350 fps on 0.20g — so treat any published figure as a starting point and get the gun chrono’d on arrival before your first game day.

EVE-4 or EVE-9?

The short version: the EVE-4 is the CQB answer at 21″ retracted and 4.6 lb, the EVE-9 is the longer, better-balanced one at 27.5″ and 5.6 lb with a 10.5″ outer barrel. Tight indoor sites and vehicle work favour the EVE-4; mixed woodland and anything where you’re holding a lane favours the EVE-9.

Availability

Both Midnight Mint bundles are in stock now. The bare rifles in the same colourway are on pre-order for September and ship without the battery, charger, sack and BBs. If you already have a decent charger and a spare 11.1V pack, the bare rifle is the cheaper route; if you don’t, the bundle is the one to take.
