Gearbox shimming is fundamental to reliable airsoft performance. Poorly shimmed gears suffer premature wear, noise, and power loss. The ELEMENT gear shim set provides the precision components you need to dial in your AEG’s internal performance.
Key Features
- Dual outer diameter sizes – 6mm and 7mm OD options for universal compatibility
- Precision thickness tolerances – 0.4mm and 0.6mm grades for exact gearbox spacing
- High-quality material – engineered for durability and minimal slippage
- Cost-effective tuning – affordable solution for gearbox optimisation without premium pricing
Real-World Use Cases
Whether you’re building a DMR, tuning a CQB carbine, or maintaining a workhorse skirmish rifle, correct shimming reduces backlash between drive gear, bevel gear, and spur gear. This minimises noise, improves efficiency, and extends gearbox longevity. The ELEMENT set covers most standard AEG gearbox configurations.
